Queendom of Kush / Yoga + Plant Medicine
Queendom of Kush™ is an inclusive platform that provides a conscious, integrative, and trauma-informed approach to yoga and guidance around incorporating cannabis into movement and meditation practices.
Dr. Suzan Ahmed is a clinical psychologist/psychotherapist-turned-conscious cannabis guide and spiritual coach. She is also a multicultural (African-Asian-Arab), multidimensional, intuitive healer.
After a knee injury that resulted from her years of performing and competitive hip-hop dance, and to cope with the stresses of graduate school and life as a woman of color in a racist, capitalistic, oppressive world, she turned to yoga for healing.
Blending cannabis with yoga offered an intentional and spiritual approach to the plant as medicine and ally, as well as deepened Suzan’s love of mindfulness, movement, and connecting with our beautiful home of Earth. Integrating years of supporting individuals across the lifespan with their emotional and mental health, she offers wise, compassionate guidance in her 1:1 yoga / meditation coaching sessions, on-demand videos, and group classes.
About Dr. Za

IN ANCIENT NUBIA,
By the shores of the Nile River, existed a civilization known as the Kingdom of Kush. Now known as modern-day Northern Sudan and Southern Egypt, this ancient kingdom stood between worlds. Evidence from ancient texts and hieroglyphs suggest the Kemet civilization now known as Egypt is also the original birthplace of the yoga practice we know today.
Queendom of Kush™ honors the legacy of this land and its people. Suzan (she/her/hers), the founder of Queendom of Kush™, created this sacred space to reclaim holistic health for Black, Brown, Indigenous, and other marginalized communities. She dedicates this space to her Grandmother Zayda, a woman whose body held the wisdom of the indigenous Nubian tribe - Shaigiya/Shaiqiya/الشايقيّة.
